When WUNDERBAR lay out after the 250 Metres RAGING BLIZZARD was then able to obtain clear running to the inside of that runner soon after. Sent for sampling post-race. |
2 | 6 | GORGEOUS WIN (J008) | Near the 900 Metres became unbalanced when momentarily positioned tight to the inside of COPARTNER PRANCE which lay in despite the efforts of its rider. Near the 150 Metres B Avdulla was restricted from using his whip for several strides when positioned close to WUNDERBAR. Sent for sampling post-race. |

Approaching the 250 Metres lay out under pressure. When questioned, Z Purton stated that although his mount raced keenly in the early stages this was its usual racing style. He said in the Home Straight he was disappointed with the finishing effort of WUNDERBAR but could offer no explanation as to why it did not finish the race off strongly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race. |
6 | 7 | FULL CREDIT (J185) | After the event, L Hewitson stated that he was obliged to make use of his mount in the early stages to cross to the lead. He said as a result FULL CREDIT found it difficult to finish the race off strongly but he was not too disappointed with the performance in the circumstances.
