In the early stages raced keenly and for some distance near the 1000M got its head up when racing in restricted room. After the event, rider reported that his mount raced keenly throughout the early and middle stages and refused to settle. He said when placed under pressure in the Home Straight his mount hung in and did not finish the race off. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 400.

Trainer confirmed the instructions and said such instructions were issued on the basis that the horse had not performed in its previous runs when ridden in a conservative manner. After the race found that horse to have an epiglottic entrapment - Race 207.
