Background:
Ryan Moore is one of world racing’s all-time great jockeys. He is a four-time World’s Best Jockey recipient and is the winner of most big races across the globe. Hailing from a racing family, his father Gary Moore is a trainer, and Ryan rode his first winner over hurdles at Towcester in 2002. He started riding at the age of four, taking lessons with his grandfather and at pony clubs. Moore’s first mentor was Richard Hannon and after this he rode for Sir Michael Stoute before becoming stable jockey for Aidan O’Brien and the powerful Ballydoyle operation. Moore has won many of the world’s foremost races including all four features at the Hong Kong International Races, Hong Kong Derby as well as the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, Melbourne Cup, Japan Cup, Golden Slipper, Dubai Turf, English Derby, Irish Derby, French Derby and a string of Breeders’ Cup races.
