Racing Incident Report

Pla. Horse No. Horse Incident
6 JUDY'S GREAT (J016) In the middle stages raced keenly and after obtaining cover behind HAPPY TANGO near the 800 Metres was steadied away from that runner’s heels. As a result, JUDY’S GREAT raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Trainer C S Shum advised that the instructions were to settle JUDY’S GREAT where comfortable. Sent for sampling post-race.
1 BEAUTY LIGHT (J474) Became fractious whilst being transported to the course, sustained minor abrasions to both front legs, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. Bumped at the start. Briefly held up on the Home Turn and lay in under pressure in the Home Straight. Sent for sampling post-race.
4 SIGHT HAPPY (J261) From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
11 DRACO (J115) Jumped only fairly. In the middle stages raced keenly and for some distance after the 700 Metres was steadied away from THE PRIME.
12 SHINKANSEN (H277) Lay in in the Home Straight, resulting in its rider A Pouchin having to correct his mount approaching the 150 Metres. After the event, A Pouchin reported that from a wide barrier the instructions were to endeavor to find cover. He said as a result he elected to obtain a trailing position behind midfield to comply with his instructions.
10 THE PRIME (J352) No report.
8 BULB EMPEROR (J241) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Held up on the Home Turn. Near the 250 Metres raced tight to the inside of BRAVE JOY, made contact with that runner and became unbalanced.
9 CIRCUS REEL (J274) A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
7 LUCKY GENERATIONS (J338) Near the 150 Metres was checked when crowded between SHINKANSEN (A Pouchin), which after shifting in, was then corrected by Jockey Pouchin and DRACO (C L Chau ) which shifted out whilst being ridden along. A Pouchin was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances and to stop riding and straighten his mounts sooner than what he did on this occasion. C L Chau was reprimanded and advised he must ensure that when his mounts shift ground he is clear to do so. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
5 HAPPY TANGO (D075) No report.
3 IRON LEGION (J459) Jumped only fairly and shortly after the start shifted out and made contact with BEAUTY LIGHT. Near the 150 Metres became held up for clear running behind CIRCUS REEL and could not be ridden out for some distance thereafter.
2 BRAVE JOY (J307) When giving ground near the 250 Metres lay in and away from BEAUTY LIGHT and made contact with BULB EMPEROR, resulting in BRAVE JOY becoming unbalanced. After the event, C Y Ho stated that the intention was not to lead the event but from an inside barrier and with the pace of the race being run outside of standard time BRAVE JOY led without being pressured to do so. He added BRAVE JOY raced greenly throughout the event before giving ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
