Background:
Tony Gollan was born and bred in Toowoomba. He was exposed to horse training from a young age with his father Darryl Gollan – also a trainer. In 1999, Tony took out a training licence at the age of 20. He claimed his first Group 1 success with Temple Of Boom in the 2012 The Galaxy, and he won his first Queensland trainers’ championship in 2013/14 and broke 100 city winners for the first time in 2019/20. In 2023/24, Gollan won his 11th successive metropolitan trainer’s championship. Gollan’s best performers have been Spirit Of Boom and Temple Of Boom – the ‘Boom Brothers’ – who are siblings, as well as Vega One, Krone, Antino, Baller and Zoustyle.
